PRIVACY AND INFORMATION COLLECTION POLICY



Villaggio Sant’ Antonio’s privacy policy governs the manner in which information is collected, stored, used and, where applicable, disclosed to relevant parties. This policy applies to our website and all products and services offered by Villaggio Sant’ Antonio, including but not limited to the collection of information for staff and residents as required by in complying with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (as well as applicable State and Territory legislation) . By using any of our services you agree to your information being collected, stored, used and disclosed as per Villaggio Sant’ Antonio’s privacy policy.

COLLECTION OF PERSONAL AND NON-PERSONAL INFORMATION

Personal Information is collected so that we can provide the most appropriate care and services for residents, ensure that we meet all relevant legislative requirements with contractors and that we may operate with optimum safety and efficiency for our staff.
Information collected may include but is not be limited to, name, address, date of birth, contact details, health and family history, emergency contacts, ethnic backgrounds, financial details, persons responsible for financial discussions, visa status, mailing address, phone numbers, religious beliefs or affilliations, trade or professional associations, criminal records, payment and superannuation details.
Information is collected in a number of ways and can include the filling out of applications for employment, applications for accommodation and/or DayCare/Respite, completion of surveys, logging in to the Villaggio Sant’ Antonio website, and in connection with other activities and services we make available to residents and staff.
Secure storage of information is of the utmost importance to Villaggio Sant’ Antonio and we take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access or disclosure. This includes physical security for both paper-based and electronically stored data, computer and network security measures including the use of passwords, firewalls and virus protection, and confidentiality agreements for staff and third parties.

Access to and Correction of information may be requested at any time by contacting any member of the Executive Management Team and dependent upon the circumstances and to whom the information belongs may be given and corrections made as required, unless directly contravening any aspect of the Privacy Act.
Should you have a complaint regarding any aspect of the Privacy Policy, relating to but not limited to, the collection, storage, use or disclosure of any information held about you, you can contact our General Manager. You will be required to provide details of the complaint as well as any supporting information and steps that may have been taken prior to the formal lodging of the complaint.

We reserve the right to change any aspects of the Privacy Policy without prior notification or communication from time to time as would be required to enhance the performance of our business or to comply with government regulations.
